I’d put money on Garments being phased out over the next couple of years. The younger LDS influencers modifying or not wearing them at all, the internet having exposed the secret (aka “sacred”) wearing of them, and in an attempt to keep members, I feel a change is coming. Our town had a seminary building that was a large house right off campus. It was an elective the Mormon kids could take. We had left the church by the time I was in HS. I was kinda jealous that those kids got to goof off in church during the day... maybe not so much now.😮‍💨

I've heard a lot of girls say that they will wear petite size garments so that they will be shorter. I was always bothered by that because I am actually petite I wasn't trying to cheat by wearing shorter garments but these girls very clearly are.

I have noticed my two temple married gen Z nieces pushing the limits of their attire while still supposedly wearing the garment. I personally think it's funny because I no longer believe, but their parents are ultra faithful Mormons. Glad this younger generation are doing their own thing!

Well it’s a rule that the garment bottom must go to just above the kneecap, however that rule can be broken if you find cute shorts or slitted skirts. But dont you dare drink coffee, swear or buy anything on Sunday. The hypocrisy is unreal in this cult!!!

Oh my gosh, i just started working in retail and i was restocking the womens clothing section and i overheard some ladies talking about cute shirts and this one lady was like "ugh I love this shirt but its not garment approved 😔😧" and all her friends were like "aww 😔" and i was just standing there confused asf bcs the shirt seemed pretty modest to me.

Not Mormon - but I was 15 when I started taking care of kids by myself completely, before that I usually was supervised working with kids from age 12. I also parented my younger sibling who was only a year and a half younger. My condolences to all of us who were given way too much responsibility at way too young of an age. I can see how it's even more prevalent in Mormonism
